Avish graduated with a Doctor of Optometry from Melbourne University in 2017, and has established himself as an optometrist working between an independent practice in Hastings and franchised OPSMs throughout Melbourne's south-east. He has taken to the opportunity to practice wide-scope optometry, dealing with a wide variety of clinical pathology and enjoys the challenges it brings. He has been able to build relationships with local healthcare professionals to establish a vibrant and thorough ocular healthcare pathway, whilst educating patients in the importance of optometry in the community. He has a keen interest in retinal disease, paediatric optometry, as well as foreign body removals. He hopes to one day contribute to the education of future optometrists through clinical teaching.
