Felicia Widyaputri

Dr Felicia Widyaputri is a PhD student at Centre for Eye Research Australia (CERA), University of Melbourne, under the supervision of A/Prof. Lyndell Lim, A/Prof. Andrew Symons, and Dr. Alexis Shub. Her PhD topic is about Diabetic Retinopathy in Pregnant Women with Pre-existing Diabetes, where she has been working with ophthalmologists, optometrists, obstetricians, endocrinologists, and diabetes educators to optimise the management of diabetic retinopathy in her study population. During her candidature, she was awarded as the best PhD presentation in the Department of Surgery Research Showcase 2018, the winner of CERA 3-Minute Thesis Competition, and received a research grant from Australia-Indonesia Institute, DFAT for her collaborating project between CERA and Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), Indonesia. She completed her medical degree at UGM in 2014 and worked on the development of a tele-ophthalmology programme for diabetic retinopathy screening in the community in Jogjakarta, Indonesia between 2014-2017, with her team in the Department of Ophthalmology, UGM.
